Personal Intro

For those who know me, it's all about champagne taste with a beer budget. But who say's you can't have it all, for less. I have always been a bargin hunter and it's gone from a passion to an obsession. I would get mad at my husband for not surprising me for my Birthday but he complained that it didn't matter what he bought me, I would get mad if he paid full price and make him take it back. He say's I could always find it cheaper and we need to watch what we are spending. He can't win, and he's right. The key to finding what you want at a great deal is patience. If we spend as much time on the computer searching out great deals as our husbands do researching fantasy football, we can save them lots of money. LOL. I have lived in my house for about almost three years and have come across some great deals on furniture. I love Pottery Barn, and between the prices, and having three boys, I just can't justify paying the store price. Well its a good thing someone introduced me to Craigs list. Man, in just over six months, my house looks like a Pottery Barn showroom. Ok, not that nice, but I have found some great pieces for over 70 percent off the store price because people were moving and had to sell fast. The key it to also check Craigs every waking second and email the person the minute you find something, even if you need to think about it. I just bought my son the Pottery Barn locker dresser and desk today for 100.00. They are pretty used and had surfer stickers on them, but hey, I pulled most of them off and now it looks great. I will use my blog to basically keep everyone updated with great sales I come across, pics of great finds, and if your looking for something, maybe I can help you find it (just shoot me an email and if I come across it, I will let you know). I always shop the swap meets as well. My friend wanted a MaClaren stroller for her son and I found a brand new one at the swap meet for 35.00. I didn't realize how expensive those things were and even on craigs used they run about 65+. Sorry this blog was so long, it's my first and I just have so many things to say.
